Ferrari fans (Guanciale family pictured here) and Heart Car supporters take over the Fedex suite at the IMS to raise money for the American Heart Association's Hands-Only CPR campaign. 120 new Godstones were all "heart" as they joined the campaign to promote HOCPR.
Thanks to Bill Sewall and Hunt Construction Group, Grand-Am and Ferrari fans sold out Godstone's inaugural Pit Party supporting the American Heart Association's Hands-Only CPR program. The Pit Party concept is an easy way for Godstone and AHA supporters to raise money and cheer on the Heart Car at Grand-Am races.
"I am a Ferrari and Grand-Am fan, who also understands Godstone Ranch's mission to make people aware of the HOCPR campaign. My family felt that this was a terrific way to raise some money, network, and enjoy the first ever Grand-Am race at IMS," said Bill Sewall, the Pit Party's organizer. "It really sells itself!" A Pit Party kit can be downloaded from the Godstone Ranch website and the AHA. Pit Party goers simply purchase tickets through Godstone, and party on! A portion of the ticket price is tax deductible.
All net proceeds from the Pit Parties are donated to the AHA.
The FedEx suite was ground zero for 120+ excited Godstones, who could watch the front straight and the infield circuit from their air conditioned perch high and dry in the IMS terrace suite. Davy Jones and John McCutchen mingled right in and gave color commentary as the race unfolded. "It was a huge success, said Karen Garrett," co-founder of Godstone Ranch Motorsports. "Bill really scored a win with his group. Jack Higganbotham, president of PRS Guitars showed up with the custom-made PRS Rolex Trophy guitar, complete with amp. John Cougar Mellencamp's lead guitar player, Larry Crane, also stopped in."
Anyone interested in throwing a Pit Party at one of the upcoming Grand-Am races should contact Godstone Ranch Motorsports for a kit.
