Dallas, Texas | April 25, 2013 | World renown, guitar craftsman, Paul Reed Smith, is creating a one-of-a-kind custom axe for Godstone Ranch to be auctioned in support of the American Heart Association's Hands-Only CPR program.
Based on the new PRS Mira design destined to launch in August, the Godstone Heart Guitar is being designed by Echo-Factory's Mike Schaffer. "The guitar will take cues from the Heart Car said Mike, but it won't just be a decal slapped onto a blank guitar body! We are insisting the guitar be player friendly and have that mojo all real players look for." he added. Mike is the designer of the striking Heart Car's red, white and gold livery.
PRS president, Jack Higginbotham is a racer himself who has partnered with Grand-Am to provide the Rolex race winners with a specially designed trophy guitar given out every race. PRS Guitars, headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland, is known for giving back. Their community involvement stretches back to the early 1980's when Paul Redd Smith carted his new creations around to music stores to promote his blossoming company. His skill as a luthier drew immediate rave reviews, and now PRS Guitars is one of the most successful guitar manufacturers in the world.
Check back as the design progresses, and look for the "Heart Guitar" at a Grand Am race near you. Come by and hold it, play it, fall in love with it!
